High up in the trees there is a nest Three eggs await the moment to finally hatch And there it is, in one egg the first cracks appear This young chick is the first to see the earth this year Helplessly it begins to beg for food See the diligent mother disappear into the blue She feeds it with all her energy, but hunger perseveres As the first crack in a second egg appears… And from the day of birth The struggle for survival is on! Burst! Burst into life A thousand seeds are sown, but only few survive Burst! Burst into life After the strength to grow we must strive Now two chicks beg for their mother’s next kill Growing with each bite, strengthened is their will And as the third chick is born and is begging for its share Not a chance to eat it gets, kept away from mother’s care A cold wind blows through the nightly trees And as the morning comes, the weak one has deceased Mother takes up the one who died so soon after its start No source of food is spilled, they rip its flesh apart! Cause from the day of birth The struggle for survival is on! Burst! Burst into life A thousand seeds are sown, but only few survive Burst! Burst into life After the strength to grow we must strive

Instinct 04:58
It’s always there… Underneath the surface Often locked up and denied The irrational beast Deep within Screaming at me night and day As with a spider Driven to create its web It leads me It inspires me To things unimaginable And it will fight its way out! From the depths rise flowers of fire Bees fly out without a thought building their hive Instinct To the skies - snakes of smoke Live from the heart, fuel the soul, intensify life! Explore the depths And release firebirds Into the firmament Fear! Combativeness! Liberated lust! Pathways to freedom To an honest existence… From the depths rise flowers of fire Bees fly out without a thought building their hive Instinct To the skies - snakes of smoke Live from the heart, fuel the soul, intensify life! ‘The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift’ (Albert Einstein) The hermit created a world of comfort Secluded from instinctive forms of life But still it lies at the root of reason Transcending the power of our thoughts It’s always there And it’s there to stay A continuous development Each advantage in the struggle for existence: New strength coming over me… From the depths rise flowers of fire Bees fly out without a thought building their hive Instinct To the skies - snakes of smoke Live from the heart, fuel the soul, intensify life!

Slowly the sun disappears A mountain landscape in the shimmering A small valley with on both sides a hill On each hill appears the silhouette of a ram Dead like silence among the rocks A threatening concentration A bird breaks the silence The trial begins… With rapid speed the rams storm towards each other Enormous aggression strengthened by the pounding pain of death The heads held against each other – the pressure is high The rams withdraw to prepare for the next attack Brutal are nature’s ways to decide our fate! Who will dominate? Who will procreate? Only those who have the strength to carry deserve life When nature strikes the hammer, whose turn is it to die? And again they storm onwards an awful bloody fight ‘til one of them collapses… To drag through life, crippled and subordinated ‘til the impending end…

Sunrise above the Antarctic plateau The slow melting of the ice floes And I wade through the passable waters Flying through the ocean with the others We grouped together and then I saw you I felt your entire being come through A glare of sunlight on the crystal ice When ultimate bliss in me began to rise And like crystals of snow we came together Standing across each other for hours on end You sensed that I would endure the cold for you And then you left me with your greatest gift Snow sweeps over the Antarctic plateau I warmly protect your gift while the severe wind blows Are you underneath the frozen waters? As I intensely hold this like the others And when it breaks and comes to life In this frozen lifeless storm of ice Are you down there under the sea? And do you think of me? Although all of us here are abating Proud and full of love I’m awaiting And on the crystal ice my heart burns When the group you left with returns And like crystals of snow we come together Standing across each other for hours on end I have endured the cold for you Our future now ensured…

The Wild 05:00
The wild, out there is the wild And I will experience it! The dewy grass, the mist in the mountains This morning my journey begins… But this is dangerous and exhausting I sink in these trenches and slip on the rocks And with the rain of last night Falls have exploded into violent pools of savagery It pushes me, drags me and blows me away These chasms, they terrify me Stung by the thorns, burnt by the nettles All my energy is gone… I don’t know where to run or hide ‘Cause this is the wild! This is the wild – Where I began This is the wild – Where I will end This is the wild – Where I lost and found myself again This is the wild – So beautiful This is the wild – Yet merciless This is the wild – Bringer of life, bringer of death And in the night, utter darkness overtakes Should I sleep? The temperature lowers And I can hear predators hunt for preys Glints of moonlight grimly shining through the trees Hypothermia - slowly hypnotizing me And the wind softly speaks my name My entire being was spawned from the earth’s womb Tied to nature’s laws That bring both happiness and gloom Will it feed me or eat me, will it take me in? Should I fight or flight? The wild rages through my body I myself am the wild! Why should I try to run and hide… When I am the wild? This is the wild – Where I began This is the wild – Where I will end This is the wild – Where I lost and found myself again This is the wild – So beautiful This is the wild – Yet merciless This is the wild – Bringer of life, bringer of death Under civilization’s stones Upholds the proud untainted throne Don’t ever try to run or hide Cause we’re all bound to the laws of the wild!

Hunger 05:01
These grounds are barren, these lands are cold This season many grim occurrences will unfold A pack of wolves gather, sixteen they are Driven by hunger they set out a journey far No deer, no hog, no hare here in these desolate lands Yet, when sixteen wolves co-act they make a powerful stand Their blood is freezing and cold are their eyes Soon the pack will hunt a victim of great size… A herd of bison, grazing the fields When the wind took their scent their presence was revealed Carefully the skulking wolves approach the herd Fear is growing though the perilous footsteps can’t be heard Then the wolves arise, the flock they terrorize and shoo Chasing the bison, the weakest of the group they turn to But then the herd regroups and stronger than the wolves they are Steaming with anger they defend and their sharp horns leave scars… The wolves are weakened, starving to death Severely biting they fight for each other’s dying breath But then a being walking upright through the fields appears It doesn’t notice that eleven starving wolves are near And in a circle they come growling at their final chance Paralyzed by fear the victim stares in trance Then without warning they attack, tearing through flesh and veins Horrible cries of death echo over the plains…

Born alone, destined to survive alone until the end Like a leaf in an autumn storm But through the mist I sense a variety of life surrounding me Sometimes familiar and sometimes I can’t relate at all Should I consider them friends or foes? Will I benefit or lose? Alone some storm the earth and take their preys But when they weaken, the bitter scythe of death awaits So with full force together some gloriously survive Within a pecking order, of blood deprived We gathered together and achieved heights I never could have reached alone And we flourished like a blossom But then all that we gained had to be divided… I fought until I fell for my share within this hierarchy of hell Have my allies become my foes? I have to fight before I lose! Alone some storm the earth and take their preys But when they weaken, the bitter scythe of death awaits So with full force together some gloriously survive Within a pecking order, of blood deprived ‘Du bist nichts, dein Volk ist alles!’ I was pecked until I bled, yet I was warned for dangers from the skies Moral behaviour evolved to establish the welfare of the tribe Altruism and empathy Crucial instincts to cooperate as a successful race But in the end, it’s each for its own survival Whether we share together or take alone Whether we use each other’s abilities to stay alive Or whether we strangle others and parasitise With full force together we gloriously survive Within a pecking order, of blood deprived

Enormous clouds of gloom, heading into my direction I've reached the top of life, staring into a deep abyss The black tarantula crawling up my naked body The grave is opening, this is the end! Should I long back for youth and sparkling energy? Paintings and buildings are restored… Why do we remove the sight of decay from our eyes? Why do we look away when the story ends? To decay, die and rot, to make way for new life To come full circle with the earth O wanderer, one day you'll reach your destination Death: the fulfillment of life! To die... An oasis of death in a desert of life For larvae and bacterial life May they eat away my deadly cold body And as flies swarm towards the skies Where there’s life... there is death! Autumn leaves: red, gold and brown Medieval castle ruins The richness of beautiful wine... Wisdom hides behind the wrinkles Fulfilled of drinking many years of life The end is looming, the circle can be closed To embrace the unknown…
